Juice Cleanse: Day 7 Update


I’ve made it! One week of only juicing!

It’s been tough. I’m not going to tell you that I’ve been on cloud 9 all week but, it hasn’t been that terrible either. The headaches are almost all gone. I have had mild tension headaches but once I have another juice they sort of disappear. I don’t think I’m drinking enough water. So that could possible be another reason for the headaches. I am sleeping in a lot. So, I’ve cut down my amount of juices a day to 3 sometimes even just 2. Which is not a good idea. Please don’t do this. It’s not healthy. My life is extremely laid back. I know everyone else’s is not. So this would not be a healthy option for you. My hunger pains have completely disappeared. I don’t get hungry, so keeping up with juicing on time now is extremely important. When I start getting light headed I’ve noticed it’s that time. Making juices ahead of time is helping me with this dilemma. I use a mason jar similar to canning. You could also use a tin mug, just make sure the top is sealed. I used a Ziploc bag under the top to help with sealing. The juices that I’ve made so far are so big. I’m use to drinking 12-16 ounces per juices, but these juices have been close to 24-26 ounces.

I’ve lost 6 lbs! My jeans aren’t as tight. Yay! I’m getting there.

I’m really happy with what I’ve lost so far. It’s been hard losing any weight these last six months. So, this is a huge milestone for me. I still have a long road ahead of me but I’m confident that I will reach my goal. I’ve sort of fallen off of the working out part, but I’ll be hitting the yoga mat again. After day four, I decided not to go grocery shopping and just use the left over fruits and veggies to prepare my own juice. This has helped me on budgeting. I have this awesome book from Amazon, The Big Book of Juices. It has so many juices, that it’s sometimes hard to decide on which one to make. I love love this book. I’m starting to really like this feeling of not being full all the time. I was getting to a point that I didn’t feel happy if I wasn’t full, as if I were missing something. I am a huge snack enthusiast. Overeating had become such a bad habit that I would just grab whatever was near me without thinking. I’ve had to catch myself before taking a bite from my kids leftovers these past couple days but I’ve done it. I haven’t taken a bite out of anything. Strangely, I’m not that tempted by it.

Juicing is satisfying me.

This new feeling of lightness is giving me energy to get things done, to think beyond eating.  I thought maybe at this time, day seven I would loathe making a juice but I don’t. I look forward to what sort of flavors will come forth of these weird combinations. I mean, who would think that beets, red cabbage, tomatoes, and ginger would make a good blend. It does! It’s one of my favorites.

      Yes! I agree!!! The others show a little difference but that one really shows the change in feeling! Still have more weeks ahead of me!
